so i don't hate chicago, i just hate work. the shelter is out of control, and i can't stand it anymore. i have a mind to quit right now, but then i would feel bad for the added stress it would put on co-workers. damn this stupid job that has made my life a boring, stressful, living hell.

other than that things are good. i flew to burlington last weekend (only after helping bern chase a squirrel out of our apartment. it had snuck in while we were sleeping. bern awoke to a squirrel running back and forth a ledge in her room. very traumatizing indeed!) and surprised suz for her birthday. it was a great weekend, making me realize how much i miss having a life.

i'm thinking about getting a cell phone pretty soon so i can actually catch up with everyone. i'm still planning a little southern road trip in early july, so i'll be in touch to find out where everyone is and when they'll be around.
