orientation

one day of orientation and i am in heaven! i love everything about being back in school, down to my wonderful little advisor david gil, a man of a mere 80 years, and so interesting! love him, love him, love him! i'm so excited. that's about all i can eek out right now.

perhaps i'll post something a bit more coherent tomorrow, but right now it is hot and sticky and i need to finish my reading for tomorrow's discussion (thanks for the hmong article a ho). love you all.

hey kids.

long time no talk. how great was chicago? yeah. i know. i'm in dc. going to the library every day. it's really cold there. like they keep the reading room at 60 degrees to protect the manuscripts. it's the worst thing that's ever happened to me.

i'm giving satchel a jvc yea for his wonderful mail yeh's on 8/02. gotta love him.

i'm back in malone now. i had a great trip through michigan and canada to get back here and now i'm home regrouping for a few days. i'll head to boston next week to begin settling in. talk to you all soon.
