blog in state of abandonment

the blog is so sad, no one has posted in so long that it feels completely and utterly abandoned, so i am going to give it some love.

well first of all, can you believe that tom and katie are engaged!!!!! what crazy and oh so important breaking news this morning. it woke me right up.

on to less exciting things but more relative to my life. summer has been busy. i'm working three days a week in an office, and on the other two days i wind up working from home for my other jobs and running errands all day. so, i'm tired but good, and heading toward vermont this afternoon this afternoon with emily. i'm worried that baxter won't recognize me because i chopped my hair off on wednesday. i didn't want it super short, but it's super short. however nothing is ever shocking since i've shaved it, so i didn't go into hiding or anything. i just keep reminding myself that it'll grow. by the time i see you all in san francisco i'm sure it will be a length you're all used to.

i leave for israel on wednesday. i 'm excited but feel a little tired by the prospect of getting ready. i think that just means that i need some good sleep this weekend. there really does seem to be a lot to do this week before i leave, and then i need to pack on top of that! what do you bring for 10 days when it's going to be hotter than hell? i think a small amount of clothing detergent is the way to go. i need to look at the recommended packing list.

if i don't get a chance to talk to everyone before i leave, well, i'll see you a few days after i get back in san francisco! yea!
